Writing Updates for May 2015!

First and foremost, Restless Nightmares Vol. 2: A Collection of Terrifying Short Stories successfully launched one week ago. Thank you for supporting the latest release. I'm sincerely grateful for your readership — I honestly can't thank you enough. I hope you are enjoying the new stories and I hope you're anticipating more.

If you've been hoping for more, you'll be glad to learn Restless Nightmares Vol. 3: A Collection of Petrifying Short Stories has been completed. Well, it's currently in the proofreading phase, but it is very close to completion. The book will feature ten uniquely terrifying short stories. Some of the stories are a bit more experimental than my past work, but there are a few familiar ghost and demonic stories in the bunch — I believe it is a balanced mixture of traditional and experimental.

I don't want to release too many details, though — I really don't like spoiling my work. In this case, there are a lot of twisted plot points I'd rather keep secret until release. I can say, however, this book will be a tad bit longer than the previous installment. It has approximately 2,000 more words, despite featuring the same amount of stories. The cover will be revealed closer to release, as well.

So, when is the launch date? As of now, I'm currently aiming for June 2, 2015. Of course, things can go drastically wrong causing changes in the schedule, but I'm feeling optimistic. Aside from Restless Nightmares Vol. 3, I'm already working on my next book codenamed ETV1 — a respectful tribute to one my favorite shows of all time. Writing Updates for April 2015!

It's been a very busy month. In fact, it's been a very busy year. Since I've been lacking on the updates, I figured I owed you a little update on my current work. First and foremost, Restless Nightmares Vol. 1 released two weeks ago - thank you for the supportive launch, it means a lot. Currently, I'm editing Restless Nightmares Vol. 2 and preparing for a May release.

Restless Nightmares Vol. 2 follows the same formula as its predecessor. It's a horror anthology filled with suspense, ominous atmosphere, creepy mystery, and grizzly true-to-life horror. The upcoming book features ten short scary stories - two times more stories than the first. In turn, this installment features more variety than the first. I really wanted to get as creative as possible for this set of stories, I wanted to write more than the average ghost story.

For example, this new book will delve into several horror sub-genres the first book didn't. With Volume 2, you'll read about demons, cannibals, drugs, psychopaths, and more. I tried to make each story as unique as possible without making it too surreal or insane. Don't fret, though, there are still some traditional scary stories, including two ghost stories and a zombie-like story. The goal was to cater to the needs of most horror fans, and the needs of my own creativity.

Restless Nightmares Vol. 2 is currently in the proofreading phase. It should be available for pre-order early next week. This introductory volume includes five nightmarish stories. Food For Thought follows a group of survivors in a cabin during a zombie outbreak; the tension rises when the food supply dwindles. Forgiveness For The Lost Soul follows a cop as he answers a trespassing call; a woman has been heard weeping in an abandoned building. A Lust For Bloody Vengeance follows a group of concerned citizens as they plan their vengeance on a school nurse suspected of sucking on a young girl's knee.  

The Tunnel People follows a group of subway patrons, including an eccentric homeless man and an introverted college student, when their train stalls; the terror escalates when they're surrounded by a mysterious force. Finally, Shadow Talking follows a lonely grandfather as he tests a peculiar urban legend. These five stories pack plenty of horror, excitement, and variety – every story offers a unique nightmare.

Restless Nightmares Vol. 1 is the start of a new horror series –  it's only a taste of what's to come. If you like what you read, make sure to check back frequently for Volume 2 – it's just over the horizon. Until then, I hope you're entertained and satisfied.
